We support the following developments:
Moses Gate Centre - A community based outreach based on support and friendship within the Asian community
On the Vine - Friday night, unwind and unload, good food, good wine, good friends, God’s presence
Street Church - an initiative to be church amongst the homeless and roofless and those who work the streets
Bingo Church - fellowship, relationship building with young people through activities and other bingo players through conversation.
Cafe Church - Sunday afternoons at St Luke’s Halliwell - twice a month
Dream - is a network of groups who are on a spiritual journey towards Jesus. There are four core values: Christ centred; Open; Relational; Experimental. The network consists of a number of groups which meet regularly in Merseyside and Bolton , as well as an on-line group who join in a weekly ‘Lectio.’ All are welcome to join us along the way. www.dream.uk.net
Network Deaf Church - is a cell based group exploring issues of faith and belonging in the deaf community
Phoenix Project - is a schools based project exploring fresh expressions of church and faith in the schools of East Bolton among children and carers
Potential Expressions being Explored
Mates - down the pub, exploring the BIG questions, with your mates, with GOD your best mate.
Eden - church as God intended, walking with God, open before God, unashamed with self and one another - restored and forgiven - a fellowship for naturists
In our endeavour to plant fresh expressions of worship we also note the existence of prototype fresh expressions which already exist in our churches and have the capacity to develop into fully fledged expressions in their own right
Food for Thought - a gathering for worship and fellowship based around lunch at St George the Martyr on Tuesdays at 12.30pm
Crossroads - an activity club for 5-11 yr olds with bible based teaching on alternate Mondays at Emmanuel Church Centre at 6.30pm
Hillsongs Worship - an activity of St Peter’s Halliwell encouraging an alternative congregation
Youth Church - an activity of St Thomas & St John Lostock
Friendly Hour - a time of friendship and fellowship with worship and a speaker on a multitude of topics - personal testimony, wine tasting, other faiths etc. at St Catherine’s Highfield Tuesdays at 2pm
